Question Rear Window shock

My 1997 Blazer rear window shock is broke at the base where it connects to the truck, how much does it cost to replace and is it very hard to replace on my own? any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Rear Window shock

I don't remember the exact cost but I got one from Pep Boys and it was easy to replace. I think arround $20.

Re: Rear Window shock

Very easy to replace.

You will have to pry back the spring clip on either end and remove the shock.

Then you install the new one, put the spring retainers in and you are as good as gold.
