1992 Mercury Cougar

I already started to make a true dual exhaust system.

I also painted it the same color as my thunderbird (Cougar and Thunderbird are about identical; MN12)

Re: 1992 Mercury Cougar

This kit isnt that old. Its a re-issue, lowrider version- 3n1. I got it at wal-mart.

Revell was supposed to re-release the 1992 Thunderbird SC LAST MONTH! WTF is taking them so long?

And no, that is a virginia plate. Sun makes it look yellowish.

Re: 1992 Mercury Cougar

I think Fujimi has a set of rims in one of their Hondas (CRX, I bet) that should match your 1:1 pretty well. The difference between 1:24 and 1:25 should scale them right up to proper size too. I'll give it a look see, but if I can't find anything, it's worth a little research if you want a ringer for your car.

Re: 1992 Mercury Cougar

The suspension in this thing is horrible. Its uneven, and the height is too low. The front is normal ride height, and the rear top of the tires is nearly under the fenders. I put some blocks to jack up the whole entire rear subframe. Then my front went crooked, one tire was lower then the other. I cut the top of the coil over, and put in another spacer. Then the entire chassis is crooked (warped from cutting some pieces away for my exhaust), but i bent it back into shape. After some cussing, i got it to look nice.

The Thunderbird SC uses the same mold, but i dont remember it being this shitty.

I also dont have an exhaust system. My dog ate it, from the resonator foward. Luckily i still have my custom bent true duals. Anyone got a spare exhaust system?

Re: 1992 Mercury Cougar

The CRX has similar wheels as your 1:1, but they are 7 spokes, not 5. Oh well. PM me if you want 'em, though I don't imagine you do.

The 1:1 car is a Thunderbird and the 1:25 progress is a Cougar Different cars, just same paint color.
