Ecs and active aero, has it been proven affective?

i just wanted to hear everyone's opinion on some of the features on our car.

adjusting wing- affective or not?

adjusting front lip- affective or not?

adjusting ride height-affective or not?

active exhaust-affective or not?

first i'd like to hear opinions and then we can all pull up some facts.

i personally have read both, they work, and they don't actually work

Re: Ecs and active aero, has it been proven affective?

For the ECS it's not ride height that it's adjusting, it's shock stiffness (aka hydraulic pressure in the shocks). There's valves in the shocks that open and close to allow more or less hydraulic pressure, hence softer or stiffer ride. And my opinion on it's effectiveness is, it works. Noticeable difference in the amount of body roll between sport and tour.

I just leave my ECS on Tour because when it's in Sport mode, it's so uncomfortable. Going over a little bump feels like I'm going over a hill.

They are all effective, some are useless(active exhaust) but they all have a real world result.

so your saying our ride height does not adjust at all? i read a whole article on the net about it and they said it didn't really make much difference. actually someone here posted a link on it almost a year ago.

who made the rumor and who proved it wrong?

Ride height doesn't change, it would have to sqeeze your springs down, or change the car's weight to do that. Only the shock absorbancy changes, not the spring tension.
