new 1989 4runner owner

i just bought an 89 4runner. the previous owner always got it repair at the first sign of touble. it has a v6 5spd tranny w/215k mi on it.

im woundering if there is a list of expected maitenance to be seen around certain mileage.

me being a college kid, im a little worried about something major coming up that i couldnt handle fixing myself. im not mechanical challenged, so anything minor i could handle.

any tips will be welcome.

Go and buy a haynes manual for the year and make. They are cheap and have all the instructions for maint, rebuild ect.
