01 silverado - cigarette lighter not working

i'm guessing this is a fuse problem, which fuse would i need to replace? and if it's not a fuse problem where can i get a new cigarette lighter? thanks alot

Junk yard maybe? They'd probably just throw you one if you asked nice enoug; if not maybe $5 at a Junkyard I would think...

i once blew out my power outlet and cigarette lighter fuses because i plugged a 400/800watt power inverter and plugged in a home stereo system and 2 12'' subs just for the heck of it... i ended up having to buy new fuses for both. the cig lighter uses a 15 and the power outlet uses a 25. those numbers are the ratings for the fuses. pop the hood and open your fuse box, under the cover should have a diagram of all the fuses in your car, find wichever you need and replace it.

for under a $10 wall mart will have the lighter replacement plus the fuses.
