1995 3.8 Windstar starter

I am trying to figure out how to remove the starter on my Windstar.

It looks like there are two screws/bolts kind of hidden on the underside of the starter and one bolt on the side with a battery cable connected to it.

What do I need to unscrew/unbolt in order to remove the starter?

Any help would be appreciated.

Chris

Re: 1995 3.8 Windstar starter

Knowing the year/model might be helpful. There are two wires attached toe the starter and I believe two mounting bolts. It's easier to access it from underneath, be sure to use jackstands.

Re: 1995 3.8 Windstar starter

It is the easiest starter job I've ever done.

1. Remove the nut that hold on the big wire,

2. Remove the two bolts that hold the starter onto the trans. (The heads stick out on the Transmission side.

Don't let it fall on you.
