Anyone here with a motor not intended for their car in here? Anyone planning to in the future? If you guys are here, what did you build the car for, track or strip? What times do you run?

Just wanting to see who's here

Arrow Not I

I've got a GS-R with a GS-R motor. But I see your Jetta has a 1.8T. Nice little engine. I'm always impressed by how undetectable turbo lag is in this powerplant. And the little suckers hold out well to put out lots more power (there are 1.8T's putting out like 1,000 horsepower). All in all, looks like a beautiful machine. Very nice work.

Swaps.

I may be doing one this summer.....but I am not sure if it will be done to my Civic Hx. If I find a good deal on a 92-95 civic I will do the swap on that.

I have seen a couple hybrids at the track.

1. 95 Civic hatch with JDM b18c. 14.4 1/4 mile
2. 97 Civic hatch with turbo'd b18b 10.7 1/4 mile(heavily Built)

Arrow Soon to be a hybrid...

As it turns out, I will have a hybrid soon enough. I have a JDM B16A on its way to me (block from California, head from Florida), which I'll be swapping in for my GS-R motor. It has many fewer miles than by B18C1, and its rod/stroke ratio is much more ideal for high boost supercharging. Plus I'm getting a great deal, so it's worthwhile all-around.

No Prob LakeMountLude.

And I am definitly not rich. Hell, my best time in my civic Hx is only a 16.6! Should be a low 16 high fifteen next time I hit the track.

Ok for 115hp I guess.

Good Luck JD!

Gude race package.

So, you are having Gude rebuild your engine for you?

Do you know what you are getting into? Is your car going to be race only?
