SPI - engine knocks during warmup

Does anyone else have an SPI where the engine knocks during warmup, especially as the temps get colder?

It doesn't sound like lifter noise, but more like lower end noise. I'm guessing it may be a piston slap kind of thing?? It's fine when warmed up, doesn't use any oil, oil pressure seems good - light never comes on. It's got 117,000 miles on it now, but probably started noticing this more than 50,000 miles ago. I drive it at least 100 miles a day -
