gas??supercharger???Please help!

Just wondered if any of you can help... As I said before...I'm 33 and drive like I'm 80 (a good 80 year old driver) My car used to get 19.6 mpg and now it is around 15.8 What I noticed is at around 40 it seems to be working harder and the supercharger kicks in more than it used to. Before the supercharger would only kick in on me when I was passing someone or pulling out of somewhere real fast. What happens when the supercharger goes out?? All help is appreciated. BTW this forum is great.

Thanks Gina

It is a 2000 GTP (4 door) It is all stock, I run 93 octane, oil and air filter changed, and just changed ambient sensor. I have only had the car about 9 months, it just started doing this.

Thanks gina!

What exactly do you mean when you say, "the supercharger kicks in" ?

Said in what maintance she did as filter changed. Thought of that, that is why I asked.
Was wondering if the oil in superchager is low, and bearing are going.

I think you suffer from what we all have...a newly found lead foot!

It could be just a round of bad gas.....

Re: gas??supercharger???Please help!

There are a couple of things I would check. First, check or replace the O2 sensors as they may be starting to go bad. Second, if you have not done so change the fuel filter. Third, clean the Mass Airflow Sensor all will contribute to bad fuel mileage and a loss of power.

Hi Chris,
How's the car?
She said she drives like an old lady. Thought she said she replaced everything. Thought O2 went in that list. But that's why I told to email you Dad.
