why some people just dont deserve a 240!!!

So im driving home tonight from work with my sick rims on and exhaust and all that cool stuff... then i notice there is a black 97 or 98 240 in front of me , you know those feelings you get lwhen you see a car you rarely see ? well i got all excited cause its a 97 and those are rare as it is...

So i pull up on my 240 and i rev it up, and psshh!! some chick is driving it and shes about 40 or something, and i was all no way.!!! and after i reved it up she didnt look or nothing.. i kept speeding by and slowing down just to make her look at me and she never did...She doesnt deserve that car because she probably doesnt even know what it is!!! she probably doesnt even know if its front or rear wheels drive... and doesnt know why she fishtails sometimes in the rain!! AAARRGGHH!!

i was gonna ask her if she wants to sell it or something but shes to dumb to even know how lucky she is driving that car...

Like the other day some guys pulled up to me on a 240 and they were all checking it out and stuff and then today at the gas station some guy asked me if it was fast lol...

BUT some people just dont deserve it, to me its not just a car, its more like a cheap dream machine haha

I like 240s as much as anyone. I've had mine for years with no intention of selling it.

I agree with you. Of course a 40 year old chick isn't gonna want to race. For all you know, she could have nitrous, an SR, a KA-T, or an RB. What if she is really responsible?

I have people ask me if my car is fast all the time. I usually just say "its pretty quick" in a Ben Stien type voice. I do this because in all honesty, my car isn't shit compared to some of the cars out there. And a 240 with IHE is not that fast. My best time was a 15.8@89mph.

240 is actually slow when you compare it to other cars, it's just fast compared to econobox's which are abundant around the roads. I agree with broke as shit, 240s are just cheap cars but IMO better than other cheap sports compact cars and more fun to drive. It's not exotic looking or anything, except the S15 which one day I'd like to convert my zenki into

240s can be fast. They are different from most sports cars in the sense that they don't come from the factory(in america)fast. The japanese version can compete with most sports cars in its class on the road.

Maybe you guys don't like these cars that much, but even if I was making over half a mil a year, my dream car would still be an S14. That's what I would have parked in my driveway (along with a 2001 750, but that's a long story). Your right, it's not a ferrari, it's better then a ferrari. (To me, anyways.)

haha you noobs, first i wasnt planning on racing her, and the only reason i tried to get her attention is to see if she appreciates whats shes driving, and obviously she doesnt!! thats the part that got me a little upset.

Some people look for these cars all over trying to find it, its a hasstle to find one, and then you see this chick who probably went to a dealer to happened to have a 97 240 and she just said ill take this one without even knowing what it is, thats just what i think...

Also you say these are not ferarris... well actually they made less 97 year 240s than ferarris. They only had 2,000 or so made in 97 and im pretty sure they made more than 2,000 ferarris.

people who dont agree with this thread are probably the ones who dont appreciate their 240s as much as I do, probably just found one after looking in the paper a few times...I just appreciate them more because it took me 6 months just to find a good one, and i still had to fly for a couple hours to get it and then drive home for another 7...

everytime i see a 240 s13 or s14 i always try to say hi or thumbs up, but haha more than half of them dont care...

So who cares? Obviously you, and a few other disturbingly obsessed people. These aren't high dollar sports cars. Hell, they don't even qualify as sports cars period. They are sporty compact cars whos slightly increased power, handling and styling are marketing gimics put onto to an otherwise normal daily driver chassis to sell more cars. Can you make them fast? Sure! Drop more than the car is worth on engine swaps, coil overs, turbo upgrades and etc and so on and you'll have a pretty quick ride. Same as just about any other car.

Now what the **** does that have to do with anything? They don't make alot of Ferraris because they are high dollar, elite range sports cars. They didn't make alot of S14s in the US because they weren't selling. What does that tell you?

i feel the 240 is considered a sports car, i love mine, i busted my ass all summer to get it and it was the only car i wanted, i finally found the perfect one and i was very happy, of course then the trannie blew, but i fixed that and now even after that incedent i still love it.

my car is also stock right now and people who see it always ask what it is and is it fast, it gets more questions and compliments than my buddies 93 prelude with 10K put into it, well acually i take that back he dose get a ton of little kids that google over it and say it must be super fast and have nitrous and shit,but i have like 40 year old dudes be like "thats a nice car", even my auto shop teacher likes it and he hates 4 cilenders with a passion, what i really like is when old guys in their 240z's look at it and ive gotten a few thumbs up from them, my car is fucking awesome and i plan on having it for a long time. anyone who has one should feel the same way i do, or sell it to someone who will.
