Unhappy Too Many Threads

I can see breaking down forum threads into makes of cars but why every single model they make too? It makes it too hard to not only ask a question but to answer it too.
Also, when I tried to undo a smilely that I mistakenly clicked on my message dissappeared instead.

Because Corvette owners don't want their questions answered by Astro owners.

And the smiley's are having issues lately, just enter the code into the message and you will be fine.

And if someone has a specific question about a model of car they could put that in their subject line. That way someone who drives an Astro but knows about Corvettes could reply.

Re: Too Many Threads

Waaa.... I like the way AF is set up, i mean it would get confusing for people if someone made a thread titled engine troubles, and it was about a 2.2 liter ecotec, while others go into the thread with knowledge of LS1's and are clueless about the ecotec. And the Astro guy who knows about Corvettes can just go back one page and go right into the Corvette forum without any troubles.

I understand the purpose of the forum. What I don't understand is the problem. We have so many subforums because there are many different vehicles with many different specifications to them. For instance, having a general forum for all chevys would get annoying, that is why we have model specific forums so that owners of that particular model and make can put their comment/question/problem/idea in that area and get feedback from other owners. It's more appealing this way, and believe it or not, easier. Who wants to search through a whole bunch of clutter for a thread pertaining to them when they can go straight to the specific subforum? Do you get what I'm saying?

The reason I commented on your time here is because you seem to be criticizing the site before giving yourself time to get used to it and really grasp the effectiveness that we have by having things set up the way they are.

The forums have been this way since I joined, and I'm sure will stay this way. Why fix it if it ain't broke?

I'm fairly new here too...and this place would SUCK if the forums weren't broken down the way they are...some forums might have 30-40,000 threads...totally unmanageable...

The way it is set up is pretty awsome... some places, more breaking could be a +
