Expert Advice::: Best Headers For 90-93 Accord

ok.
im in the process of getting headers for my car.
and i would like to get everyones opinion on this.
which aftermarket header would give me more
torque and horsepower?
I've heard that DC and PAcesetter made really good headers
for this generation Accord.
Ok. So let me know what brand to go with.
Thanks a bunch......

Re: Expert Advice::: Best Headers For 90-93 Accord

i dunno i heard pacesetter is crap is exhaust. but i dunno i never wanted to chance it and used it so i have nothing really to say on this. I have DC headers. i could feel the difference after i installed it. not power wise but the engine running smoother when accelerating. these are pretty much the best header for the 90-93 accord. by the way i have a 90 accord ex. i ran 16.5 in the 1/4 mile with intake... the dc header and an exhaust with hydraulic bends... with stock cat. my car is also in hawaii with crap hawaii weather which isnt good for racing... also was running 3/4 tank 87 gas... also car has 115000 miles on it... which means it has 230000 miles on wear in mainland terms cuz hawaii is mostly city style stop and go roads which in turn means more engine wear. car is also 5 spd with a clutch that has a messed up throw out bearing and a fuel pump that might be at the end of its life. anyway yea... you probably feel a hella big difference and run better times than me. sorry about telling u my cars life story haha. anyway yea... dc is expensive but i guess its worth it. but then again i bet if u just polished the stock exhaust manifold... and port if can then you'll get the same gains. i dunno if it will be cheaper tho.

You should get the 4-to-1 not the 4-2-1. I've heard you get a little more power because of the better flow.

I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you which out of the two you wanted. Get the DCsports. Ceramic or stainless steel, it doesn't matter.

if im not mistaken i dont think they make 4-1 headers for 90-93 accords. i think if they did it will be very difficult b/c the engine mount near the exhaust manifold gets in the way. thats why they dont make single piece headers for this accord and only make 2 piece headers. u gotta install the header from the top and the down pipe from below. get what i mean jelly beans?
