Cant decide which truck I want.

Ok as some of you may know i want to get a truck when i get the money. Im not sure what truck to get... I want a 93-00 ranger with probably the 2.5L or 3.0L engine 2wd, or a 90's tacoma with the 2.7L 2wd, or maybe even a Nissan pickup 2wd with a KA24 engine. Whichever truck I get I want extended cab and 5speed. Options arent really a big deal but i would like to have them. The reason for wanting a Nissan is bc it has the KA24 (same engine as the 240sx). But ill probably get an EK hatch or another EF (probably hatch) for performance, so the Nissan is lowest on my list. But I cant decide between the ranger and tacoma. Do any of you know the price and availiability difference in parts for these trucks? I just want to bag it, put intake and exhaust on it, put a system in it, and do some looks stuff to it. But I like em both. Plus my dad has a ranger and knows how to work on it.

check www.kbb.com for the pricing. the domestics will always be cheaper used compare to imports. about the parts... the ranger is going to be easier, solely because the domestic and theres tons of them everywhere. get a 4x4, they're so much more fun ...2 cents

or you can get a nice truck and get the S-10 with the 4.3 liter.

nah i dont want 4X4 bc too much weight and i want good gas milage. I dont want a big engine bc of the gas milage lol. I think im gonna go with an extended cab ranger. I also want a kinda weekends car for racing and driving around. I was thinking a 99-00 hatch but then i started thinking like an earlier 90's mustang 5.0 and i feel bad for thinking it. I felt like a redneck. I want a hatch fuck the 5.0.

I like the s-10 extreme its real nice lookin and if your lookin for decent gas mileage in a truck they have the 2.2L, or you have the option of the 4.3L.......... These are very nice trucks my buddy has one not too expensive either........if price is a matter.........

price is a matter and you have no idea how many guys around here have xtremes... And everyone that has one has a big chevy bowtie decal on the window or "Xtreme Racing" on the back, and they all look the same just different wheels and colors. I want something different, thats why I kinda want a Ranger, plus my dad has one and i already like driving it and riding in it. My dad has the 2.5L and my friend has the 4.0 and that thing is quick. But i just want a truck to cruise in and use as a truck. Plus I really dont like chevys.

except there is no way you will be doing any racing in a ranger, I had one, I know. They are more for off roading and such, Ford trucks are not really for racing. the lightning isn't really that fast.

If you want racing, take the 4.3L s-10. They are almost as fast as my ZC.

Dodge's are ok i guess... I have nothing bad to say.. but nothing good either.

I drove a supercharged 4.3 s10 for a while, even with 285 tires I could never get enough traction, I could punch it at 70 and it would light up the tires, and it was automatic. Had a Vortech supercharger, computer, the works. Wasnt mine though.

get a toyota. my dad and brother own toyota trucks like i own honda. my dad bought his brand new in 91. it has something like 290,000 on the original engine. he hauls his fisihing boat from cali up here to oregon 2 sometimes 3 trips a summer. i'm scared to think of all the places he hits up around cali.

well id like to keep to the imports but toyotas do have more expensive parts. Plus I also like the ranger too. And alot of people are getting the tacoma lately around here. Plus I like the new ones more than the ones ill be able to afford. So i think im gonna stick with the ranger.

bro lightnings are fast i mean im not sure what your car runs but i have a lightning with about 800 in mods to it that runs 12.6xxx
