My Brother-in-law who runs a auto repair shop told me to replace my fuse to the fuel injectors and the fuel pump relay switch. So far it hasn't stalled since these 2 thing were replaced. so far so good!

I had this problem off and on for about 6 months. The car was in the shop 4 times during this and every time my mechanic would fix something and declare the car fixed. What it ultimately ended up being was the fuel pump assembly. That cost a pretty penny to eventually find that.

1997 Monte Carlo Stalling

That is probably what is wrong with mine . It don't stall any more but the service soon light will come on and off. The gas gauge doesn't seem to work right lately either. My husband has had a sneaking suspician that gas pump was the problem. I think he said it would cost around $300 for the pump. He can install it so I am lucky there. I love my Monte Carlo. This is the only real problem I have had with it in the almost 9 years I have had it. It really has a smooth quiet ride. In fact I am planning to get it repainted and have the ground effects and rear spoiler installed sometime this year. So if this fixes my problem I thank you.
