My garage recommended 900-950 for my civic, if they are the same or not i dont know, they said under that and the alternator wont charge the system properly because the voltage to the battery is meant to be around 13-14V. But recently they said you can increase it to the point you feel its not over reving or running too low

I believe the manuals say around 700-750 - roughly right around there. I've had mine idle around 600 and sometimes low enough that it doesn't register on the tach (which is kinda cool) but chilton says around 700 give or take.

900 is what the factory helms manual says but I just did mine up to 1k.
