1968 Charger

I am looking to purchase a 1968 Charger from California. It is described as an 383 with 383HP- H code. It is a automatic on the column with standard hup caps. I can't find that there was a 383 HP-383 cu. in. engine. I believe that the 440 had a 375 HP. Would appriciate any help or info on this combination,.

Thanks in Advance
Larry

Re: 1968 Charger

That means 383 high power. It's the 383 with a 4 barrel carb and dual exhaust rather than a 383 with a 2 barrel carb and single exhaust.
