Thumbs up WHICH TIRE SIZE FOR MY '88 635csi?

I am putting 18X8.5 in front and 18x9.5 factory BMW wheels on my 88 635. What would be good to put on the car and also what size spacer? I also have the sport suspension installed on the car as well so it is lowered about a few inches .

Hmm,

Lots of possible issues on tires and wheels.

You may want to get more information on the wheels, like the manufacture, and all the offset information printed on the hub.

You will need to know the exact drop of your suspension from the OE specifications. Measured from the wheel hub lip to the ground.
Most lowering springs are down less than 1.5 inches since after that the camber is crazy.

Send and e-mail to the BMW real deal tire expert [email protected].

He can help you with experience on past installations.

He can even supply a fender roller if needed.

Later,

Good luck fitting the rims and tires you will have to have some super thin tires to make it work, and also if ou lower I would recommend the H&R springs with 18" rims. I have 17x8 rims front and rear that have huge lips and are 2 piece 5star style and fit tightly with 245/45zr/17 michelin pilot tires. I recommend also nothing over 235/40/18 for you in the front and nothing over 255/45/18 in the rear on a stock 6er, or else rubba dub dub you ass is gonna be piss off and looking to tub those fenders!
