Instructions on replacing neutral switch?

Would anyone out there be able to tell me how to replace the neutral switch in my 97 Plymouth Voyager (or at the very least tell me how to get at it)? My backup lights haven't been working for a while and I think that might be the problem. If I play with the shifter a bit I noticed that they'll come on for a second so I know it's not the bulbs or a fuse.

Maybe it's not the switch, but the sensor? I'm not sure. With it being dark so early this time of year it makes it difficult more often to back up with no lighting. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks to Rick for e-mailing me this solution - I haven't tried it yet.

On the bottom of the transaxle near the back on the left hand side there's a round switch mounted there with a three wire connector. You can turn the key on and jump a wire between two of the terminals and the back up lights will work. if so the switch is bad. have the replacement switch in hand, teflon on the threads, and drip pan under neath. remove the old switch and slip the new one in quickly as fluid will drain out. top off the tranny fluid and try the lights. they will work. oh...if the connector is loose on the new switch as they change shape and size sometimes, tie strap the connector to the sensor or buy a connector that fits.

I just wired a switch in to my dash off that harness to turn my backup lights on manually, I like that better anyway.
