I've been running a 50 shot on my car for about a year now. It's successfully gone through about 35-40 bottles. I haven't had one problem with it besides wearing the clutch out, but of course this is going to happen when you are adding an extra 50 horses. Here is a dyno graph of my stock KA24DE with a JIC Bullet catback and a NX 50 shot. This is the run when my clutch gave way as you can see at the quick rise at 30 mph followed by the dip, then the clutch grabbing at 40 mph, and finally giving up completely at approx 55 mph. A friend of mine is running the exact same setup and is making the same power on a new clutch. Over the base run, it was about a 50 whp and 95 lb-ft (yes, 95) increase!

Re: is nitrous woth it?

Nitrous is a good alternative. It works just like FI. Tuning is the biggest factor in insuring engine will last. BTW Whats up Jspec? I haven't seen you around the forums.

It was all about $900 including the NX kit, bottle heater, purge valve, gauge, extra hoses/fittings.

You can make the same power with the kit and bottle heater alone. The bottle heater is probably one of the best things I've ever bought. You can tell a huge difference in performance between a cold bottle and a warm bottle.

Hey. I haven't really been on the forums much lately due to school and all. Trying not to fuck up this semester... I see you got your setup running. Enjoying it? Haha I hope so.

And remember, you have to pay for fill ups, it's not free, lol, so don't think after buying the kit, it'll be free after.

I didn't know a bottle heater made that much of a difference, isn't it supposed to cool the engine?

The bottle heater heats the nitrous bottle, which raises the pressure inside the bottle. During the colder months, the bottle pressure may only be 500-600 psi. Optimal pressure in the bottle is 900-950 psi. When the pressure is as low as 500 psi, the HP gain will be minimal. My first time spraying nitrous was in the cold without a bottle heater. I sprayed, and felt nothing. I heard the spray, but didn't feel or see anything in the performance. I thought I had done something wrong. I ordered a bottle heater about a week later and then installed it. During the same temperatures outside, but with the bottle at optimal pressure, I felt a HUGE difference.

Aston Shell
It's a completely customizable shell for windows. There are thousands of themes that you can download as a starting point and then do your own stuff from there. Here is a screenshot of my desktop to show some of the small changes.

I'd just rather have drop down menus like that then icons on the desktop. Plus there is that cool looking clock on the left haha

Re: is nitrous woth it?

I was thinking about getting nitrous but I have a few questions. My KA has 160k miles on it. Should I get the engine rebuilt first before getting the nitrous kit? How difficult is it in install the nitrous kit into car? How much will it cost for refill on the bottle? Any answers are greatly appreciated.
