wind noise

For anyone who has the wind noise thing. Using double sided tape took care of the noise on my 99.

Re: wind noise

I have the same problem on my rear door or window. Can't tell exactly where it's coming from. Any ideas where to put the tape?

Not sure where if it's coming from the back. Mine was the windshield. But the noise was hard to tell where it was coming from. Maybe see if your windshield stripping is loose like mine was and see if that helps the noise at all.

I know on the xtra cabs that the noise is mostly from the rear windows and the air is coming from outside and the fan speed is greater then 3 if you select recirculate the noise will almost disapear completely. Plus the weather stripping around the doors has a bad habit of coming loose

I have had the noise for a while, I took a good look at it today and the windows are getting ready to fall out. I think the leading edge is glued in and the adhesive is releasing. My warranty expired in June so I am going to raise h$@@ and see if they will fix it. take a good look at your window, if you close the door and see the front edge pop out yours are loose too don’t push out on them from the inside you will only make it worse.
