Need some advice on speakers..
I'm basically a performance/looks kind of person, and I know almost nothing about sound past head units. Right now I have some old boston acoustic speakers in my 95 Honda Civic EX Coupe.. they were there when I bought the car.
Anyways, those speakers are crap. One frequently becomes disconnected, they're scratchy, they vibrate.. basically they weren't put in right or taken care of. So I'm in the market for some new speakers. I'm selling the car by the end of summer 2005 (hopefully for an Eclipse), so I thought nicer speakers might help it sell better. I'm NOT looking for the highest quality sound, or something that can rattle windows. I just need to know what kind of speakers are good for music at a fairly moderate volume. What kind of speakers do I need? What size? Etc. Thanks for your help. |

I'm partial to the JL AUDIO XR component speakers. They always get the job done. If you're wanting something cheap but decent, Pioneer makes some good door speakers and rear deck speakers. Had a pair of 4-way 6x9's in the rear of my brother's camaro, sounded pretty good, and then he had 6 1/2" speakers in the front I believe. Sounded pretty good. he got the Pioneer's at best buy for a reasonable price.
