Thumbs up Just one more to go. Next Level Performance

Well:
As you all can see, I dedicated this whole afternoon to look into some way to increase power. I found out this electronic stuff which looks kind of cool to me. Please let me know what you think:

Do you think guys is it probable to set this mod to my metro, and maybe spiralmax also. Un other words, total engine power would be a sumatory of any tiny power adition going from exhaust system, to ECU mods?

Thanks everybody.

As much as they talk those up, those are designed for an OBD-II system. They modify the signal coming out of the air intake temp sensor. The temp sensor helps determine the density of the air coming in. The colder the air, the more gas it gives to the engine. A rich mixture does give quite a kick in the butt on an OBD-II car. But.. on an OBD-I car, such as the MK2-MK3(89-94) Metro, it won't do a damn thing. As a matter of fact, it has no air intake temp sensor, nor does the computer have the proper software to accept the signal. Some also modify the O2 sensor signal. The 89-94 Metro will run at full performance(rich) if you just unplug it. But, as any other non-software chip, you'll barely notice it. Might give you 2-3hp. At a loss of about 5-10mpg. If you want a real mod, i can hook you up with a race grind cam, and +6, +8, or +10deg. They're about the same price as those "chips" and you won't lose any MPG, and you'll gain a good 10-15hp, and a TON of low end torque. Be careful though, advanced timing, and a longer duration, and higher lift on the valves, may cause your car to not pass an emissions test, if they're required. Both the cam and cam gear take about 20 minutes longer to install than a timing belt. So about a 3-4 hour job if you're a decent mechanic. But yea, if you're looking for performance, go with more breathing, and more fuel, not cheap switched resistors. The cam is $125, and the cam gear is about $30. If you want, i'll give you the manufacturer's email.

Geozukigti:
Thanks a lot for your comments. I will seriously consider the main mods. I am afraid that emissions control is a big issue in here so will take the chamber mod carefull.
Anyway, I would appreciate if you send me the manufacturer's mail to [email protected].

Right now, I am working on general maintenance on break system and also figuring out where to start for the air filter modification.
