Keyless entry

HI!

I just got this Integra 2001 from an auto auction that came with a factory keyless entry remote from a different Integra.

Does onyone have any idea how to program that thing so I can use it with my car?

Any tips appreciated.

Contact your local Honda dealership....or see an alarm specialists...but I'd say the honda dealership first, if its the factory remote your talking about.

I checked my books, and they show for the CL and I think the TL was listed, but nothing for the Integra, which would lead me to believe either:

A- It is not factory

B- It is dealer programmable only

I did contact a local Acura dealer and found out that Integra does not come with keyless entry at all! Imagine that. Even Civic LX does.

So, I need to stick with an aftermarket remote.
Any brand suggestions anyone?

Thanks.

From an e-mail I recieved: Programming 2002 Trailblazer

1- Close all the vehicle doors

2- Insert the key into the ignition cylinder (do not turn on)

3- Press and hold the door unlock switch

4- While holding the door lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF.

5- Release the door unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode

6- Press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter. After a delay of approx. 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of that transmitter.

7- Repeat the previous step to program up to 4 transmitters.

8- Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter program mode.

9- Operate the transmitter(s) functions to verify proper operation.
