Starter soilenoid problem

Hey all, my car was beginning to start slowly a while ago. All the stuff in it had been replaced (battery, alternator, starter) and the guy at autozone recommended I get a new starter soilenoid after he did the test and it took 250 amps to start the car. Well as it turned out I had a bad battery, cause it kept happening. But now with the new soilenoid every so often (every 10 starts or so) it'll lock into starter mode and just keep the motor spinning until I get out of the car and hit the starter soilenoid with my hand. I tried another soilenoid and its the same result, I've disconnected it all and reconnected it all a few times and it still happens. Any ideas? Thanks.

Sounds to me, like your starter is drawing too many amps, period.

The solenoid sticks when the contacts arc (fuse) together. Hitting the solenoid will only work a few times as materials build up on the contacts.

Assuming this vehicle starts immediately while cranking, I'd try another starter, or another brand of starter if this persists.

If you have to crank the engine for more than a few seconds for every start, you may wnat to get that corrected first.
