Got Hondata? :)

Hey everyone, well just wanted to post that I just bought my Hondata Stage 2b system with the P28 ecu and Hondata already installed in it. I'm so excited. I'm not boosting yet but engine management was the first step in my book so that good. Now I need save up enough money to get the turbo which shouldn't be too hard considering that I'm working about 80 hours/paycheck.

later

Brad

Well, I'm probably going to end up going custom due to the fact that there's a shop around here that is "renowned" for their custom kits and their prices. I'm going to have to stop by and check it out though. If that doesn't work out, I might go with FMAX, maybe Drag but I've ruled out the GReddy kit and the RevHard kit already.

what made you choose the hondata over say the speedpro, or haltech, or motec, or accel or hell over the aem ems(which is getting great reviews, and not just cause its aem)?

how much did it run all together? 6 ish?

anyways good to see someone who got something usefull for once instead of some damn l.e.d.'s

oh by the way if your custom turbo guy doesnt pan out i wouldnt get the fmax kit, it s agood kit but its a waste of your money since you dont need the mf2, the injectors, or a msd btm with your hondata. and i heard drag manifolds are shitty not to mention they use deltagates.

by the way if your gonna go serious custom i know a place where you can pick up full size spearco intercooler cores for like 300 and hks end tanks for 150-200.....all you gotta do is find someone to weld them on.

good luck.

Well first off, one of the main reasons of why I bought Hondata was that I bought my system off a friend of mine who had a turbo LS. I got it for $750 w/ the P28 ecu w/ Hondata already installed for it. He bought like a month ago and must of used it for a couple of weeks but now he's selling his car and taking everything off it so I jumped on the Hondata cuz I had the cash and I knew that he practically didn't use it.

I also chose Hondata cuz I've heard great things about it and it's overall a great product, so I've heard. The main reason though was the convenience issue and the fact that I just had to drive 5 min from home and pick it up. No shipping, no phone calls, no hassle.

About the turbo kit, I still have to talk to the shop but you're very right about the FMAX kit and the drag manifolds. This friend I bought the Hondata off had a Drag III and I have another friend w/ an Si who has an FMAX kit, so I was thinking of going with something different
