Sub Box Carpet

I moved from San Jose California to palm harbor Florida - AKA hicksville. The stereo shops here are like 20 years behind(I saw an 8track) and they refuse to help anyone who wont pay them 200$ to carpet a box. Sooo I was wondering if theres anyone who lives in the Tampa Bay area who knows a good outlet for car audio tuff mainly box carpet (or any substitute)?

hey man, i live in bradenton, if ya know where that is, just south of tampa. i really don't venture up to tampa much, and don't know any car audio shops up there, and practically any shop around here isn't gonna know shit. so i think maybe try and do it yourself. its a valuble skill to learn.....or maybe just paint the box

I have a friend who makes boxes for the local shop in Indiana. All they do is get the carpet and use adhesive spray then la it on and cut it out nicely. Hope that helps

Re: Sub Box Carpet

there was a tutorial placed on this forum not too long ago, do some forum searching. but basically its like very neatly wraping a christmas present then cutting away the excess and using M3 spray on or w/e spray on adheadive to keep it on. i have also known peoplt to use contact cement. but contact cement is a pain in the ass so stay with spray on adheadive.
