Prelude Hatch

Hey, its been a loooong time since I've been here....but I had just recently recieved a 01 prelude SH that was hit in the rear end. I've always wanted to do a project car, and now I am. I'm taking everything I can from the prelude(i.e. Engine, tranny, ecu, leather power/heated seats, lights and whatever else i need) and putting them into a 91 civic Si. The reason i chose the older gen. civic was a few reasons.
1.Power/weight ratio would be sweet
2.I think the lights suit the body style of 4th gen civics
3.I can find 4th gen shells easily and for inexpensive
4.They're easy to work on
anyways i wanted to see what my possibilities are for this kind of 'swap' to make a Prelude hatchback.
Anyways to the pics:

Original Civic

thanks for looking, post any suggestions ideas....and ESPECIALLY if you have any pics of this conversion in real life

Re: Prelude Hatch

i belive the prelude is much wider then the civic...
i could be mistaken though
if i was you.. i would rebuild the prelude..
you know that the SH stands for "Super Handling"

well i would build up the prelude except its subframe is f***ed. I just wanted a project car over the winter. I know the prelude is wider, however, i wont be putting the full front clip onto the civic, just the lights. So the body sizes shouldnt be too different. And call me a ricer? I like the graphics on your car. Anyways, Nick, I like what I like and you like what you like so lets just keep it at thatAlso if anyone has done the H22a swap in Ontario, Canada before send me an IM...I know its alot harder than the B-series engines. Like the front crossmember and alot of cutting/welding.
EDIT: Im sooo excited to start this project! I'll be picking up a shell on sunday hopefully, if all goes well..

Keep your words to yourself if you don't have anything nice to say.

That sounds sweet man defiantly post up some updates,Don't worry about NyneWun_Cell91 some people just can't handle the fact that some ones car is better than theres, with that car you would think he would be used to it by now

The prelude is A 2001 SH (or super-handling) electron blue. It doesnt matter exactly what the civic is, as long as it has front and rear discs and a sunroof. I still have yet to place an order for paint, only because i can't decide what i want to do yet. I might go championship white pearl(honda type R colour) or even the thought of woodlands camo(US camo) w/ a high gloss...which would take longer but i think it would look sick. My stereo system going into it already includes a ps2, 2 screens,AVIC-N1, and a full MA audio setup with one KORE18 and 2 4000 watt amps...
Once again input is greatly appreciated on this project

Re: Re: Prelude Hatch

dude! i really dont care what you're car looks like, i am not trying to start a war here and neither should you...I was just saying if you don't like it, sorry...but I like it and I'M going to do it...whether it will be faster or slower than you're car was never the question. Honestly i dont even want that fast of a car cause i have enough tickets as it is...I just want a car i can use to rep my company. Anyways can we PLEASE just put this aside and move on? i've seen what happens in forums over ricer comments and i dont want it to happen here.....thanks again

Re: Prelude Hatch

that same exact conversion is being done right now here in AZ...a member of Redline has the front on and done...I have seen it in person and can tell you the width differance is a good 6 inches on each side!

he has to do a Widebody kit to the rest of the car to make it fit right!

very nice chop BTW!
