Do you have a std or automatic transmission? Is it 2wd or 4wd?Have you checked tranny (if std) and diff(s) gear lube or lifted tires off ground with a jack and checked for excessive slop in wheel bearings...........................Got big all terrain tires, try it on a dirt road and see if it is quieter and if so welcome to the noisey on street all terrain tire club......Will check back after relieving a murdered turkey of a grand portion of its bounty.Happy holidays |

Re: loud roar from 94 v6 runner
I also had a vibration for quite some time now & just took it to the garage.
The mechanic took drive shaft off and found that on one of the ends a preload nut was loose, tightened it up some and the noise went away BUT came back a week later. DAMN!!!! At least I know where it is coming from and will have it re-inspected to see if the bearing or what not is bad. Very annoying to say the least. I'll let U know once I take it back. The vibration mainly is felt below the center consule. This is a 94 SR-5 3.0 DOG V6 automatic. |
