97 gr cherokee---dead spot

when i press on accellerator there seems to be a spot where it hessitates, and nothing happens--dead spot. any ideas?

are u trying to say that u hit the gas and nothing happens for a few seconds?

if so, I believe you will find your problem with the throttle position sensor.
