hot starts take too long

I have a 2000 silverado that starts fine when cold. but when it's still hot I have trouble starting it, this only happens after I let it sit for fifteen minutes or more. If I restart the engine within the fifteen minutes or so it will still start up fine. Can anyone help? thanx

I had this same problem with my 99 silverado the great group of people in this BB helped me out. They said to check the fuel pressure regulator. Pull the vacume line off if gas runs out replace it. It is a very simple thing to replace. I called around and beleive it or not the local GM dealer had the best price. It cost me $62.00

Thanxs for the information, but one question, does it matter at what point I check it? I should say, should I check it when it's cold, hot just after I turn it off, after a half hour after I turn it off. the most obvious would be when I'm having the problem, after a half hour or so.

I would check it after the 15 min when you said it got hard to start.
What happens is that the regulator gets a small hole in it and after you shut the truck off the pressure in the fuel rail pushes fuel through the hole into the vacum line. When you go to start it the vacum on that line sucks raw gas into the intake somewhat flooding the engine.
