1992 sputtering rodeo, bad idle

We got our truck...taken apart and not running. We were at first getting no power to fuel pump, figured that out (cut power wire) then no fuel from injectors, found a ground, fixed it now getting fuel. Now it is not idling all that great. When you first start it it fires right up (replaced with NGK plugs) Idles at about 1250, then drops to about 800 or 750. Will idle on its own, when you try to put it in gear, sometimes will go, others it wants to stall out. Will idle for about 3-5 min before wanting to stall, and you have to give it gas. Once shut off, you have to let it sit to start again...Almost like it is possibly not sparking right, and flooding itself, not really sure. We have tried another coil, tried adjusting distributer, checked timing, doesn't seem to be off....ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS????
Anything you can think of...and how to check it would be great...>THANKS SO MUCH

O.K. Sounds very familiar. Check all of the engine ground points. Especially the ones on the front of the motor under the AC. 4 wires on 2 ring terminals. (Those wires ground the computer). Also check any other grounding points. That helped me when I had a similar problem.
