anyone know a place in NE texas to have this done? and if so how much might it cost?

There is probably someplace closer to you, but they're often hard to find (what do you look for in the yellow pages?). The best thing to do is go to a local depot for a truck fleet or construction machine fleet. Ask where they get it done.
I know this place does it. They'll send you a bottle (or case of 'em) and you send it back with the sample. They'll mail you the results. I think it's like $10-$20 each test in small quantities. Titan Laboratory, Denver, CO. Phone (800) 848-4826 Any particular reason you're wanting an analysis?

was just curious. it is a good way to tell what is going on in the engine without a tear down. depending on the particles they find in the oil, and how much you can tell a lot from the analasys. but being the tech guru that you are i'm sure you already knew that...
