Re: 2.2l horsepower needs
tuneup, performance exhaust, update intake system .
Better yet just do the tune up, and save up for a 4.3L V6 |

Re: Re: 2.2l horsepower needs
I want to keep the 2.2l, but i don't want to make a mistake and spend money on something that won't help. I want to keep my fuel economy. Where would i find a turbo kit and how much would it cost? I havn't seen many turbo kits for the 2.2l engine.

Re: Re: Re: 2.2l horsepower needs
Look on Ebay under Chevy s-10. They have an electric turbo kit for about $150.00 thats was a buy it now. I have never heard of anyone using one though. Just an option it might not be the right one the price is right and no mods needed for the engine.
Also I am new to the forum and would like to say hello to everyone BodymanQuote:

Re: 2.2l horsepower needs
If you want to unlock any hidden HP in a 2.2L, you will have to make sure that your engine is tunedup completely.
Then move onto an after market muffler like a Flowmaster 40 or a Ravin Z33 or Z55 from Midas. Then install a K&N drop in air filter or get a Cold air intake to improve throttle response and give the air the engine wants and requires. Remember, exhaust first, then intake.

Re: 2.2l horsepower needs
There are electric superchargers located at this web page http://www.esuperchargers.com/
We had something on the forum about 6 weeks ago, and most people seem to think that they are more talk than performance. They are affordable if they work though. Let us all know if you install one of these, and they work |

after the air delivery improvements (intake & exhaust), Jet Performance makes a power chip for the 2.2...part # 20002 or 20002S (Stage 1 and Stage 2)... http://www.jetchip.com/
