bose really isn't that good, and it would rally help if you gave us a budget. but with what i have to go on, how about a set of 6.5 cdt components over at the zeb for 150$, a set of pioneer rev 6x9's found anywhere for under 100$, an 4 channel amp that'll put out 75x4 probly about 200$ for something that is of reasonable quality(maybe hifonics), one OZ audio ME 12 for probly under 200$, and a jbl 600.1 for 160$. with shipping everything should run you under 900$ then with box materials and wiring maybe an extremely good system for between 1000-1100 bucks.

if he wants a lower price, how about changing the sub to a shiva, and maybe keepin the amp, in case he ever wants to upgrade. btw, that one sub will get very loud if its the car i'm thinkin of.....

Re: Sound system for a 1986 300ZX

Yea, we're workin' extremly low budget, here and thanks for the reply btw, umm I think around 6-700 dollars, and we'd be doing all the installations and everything, I'll post some links of the stuff he was saying he wanted to get (all ebay, and cheap)...

well for cheap, look at alpine or infinity and pioneer rev(6x9's) coaxials, a 4 channel amp(doesn't need to be really expensive), 1 shiva, and a profile amp

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...734006166&rd=1

this would work very well for the speakers.......
