Hi:

I am new to this forum and look forward to learning about the BMW Z cars and their current competitors. Since 1974 I have owned a Healey 3000. but have not driven it for some time and expect to sell and replace it with a newer sports car in the spring. From the reviews I have read, the newer z-3, z3m, and the 350Z look like good candidates.

I will probably lurk on the forum for awhile and expect to try to learn some things before hitting the market looking for a serious replacement sportscar. As a concession to my aging knees and nonshifting wife, I will be interested to find out the pros and cons of an automatic transmission in the newer generation sportscars.
