Haunted Keyless Entry

98 Chevy Blazer S10 Suv. Power locks, courtsey lights etc just started operating on their own. I can hear what sounds like a relay over the drivers feet opening/closing. Anyone experienced this before? Any insight would be appreciated. I'm sure it is not the battery in the remotes.

Yep...happened to me a few years ago on my 97 Blazer LS.Very weird

The dealer replaced the receiver for the keyless entry system, as it was apparently having a seizure. Hit me for about $250.00, but it's been working fine since.

Hope this helps!

Re: Haunted Keyless Entry

I wouldn't goto the dealer.
You can get one aftermarket cheaper or
get a used one from the junk yard and maybe
you can reprogram the remotes from instructions
from one of these threads.

Re: Haunted Keyless Entry

Yep, it's in the kick panel left next
to the emergency brake.
The last place you'd think to look....
