cat is junk

my cat is gone, it smells like sulfer and it has a hum/wistle in it, so i beleve its gone, thats where the wistel is from and its my understanding that rotten egg smell (thats the sulfer) is either low water in my batt. or bad cat, so my question is, should i replace the cat with a stock or hiflow or should i go to jegs and get an o2 cheater??

You might want to look into the emission laws in your area, and see what they say. If they don't test your truck where you live just go with the cheater, you'll usually get more power and better milage.

still the factory cat? 98? under 80k miles? call your dealership - your cat will be warrenty due to a government mandated emission law or something silly like that(free cat woohoo!!!)

Don't go with the factory, go with a universal high flow.

I did and man, the exhaust sounds awesome and it will fix your problem.

Seeing as you just got three different oppinions let me try to give you a hand with them...If where you live does not test for emissions then go with the o2 cheater, that way you get more power. If they do test and you don't have much money then get the factory one for free (as I would do in my current situation). Finaly, if they do test where you live and you have some bills go ahead and get a high flow. Hope this helps.

ok,no emissions laws (well they have the laws they dont check for them) its a 98 with over 105K, warr goes untill 100K and to top that one off i dont know where the truck was bought at, so i think ill go with the cheater, i was just worried about not enough back pressure, but hi/flow will cut bp anyways, thanks for the imput
