Re: How much boost on stock motor?
wtf is a T70? as for boost on the stock turbo. try searching you will find hundreds of threads answering your question. ill be nice and tell you that with the free mods you can usually boost up to 20 but it is best to boost about 15 since above that the turbo heats the air too much.

have fun trying to push a t-70 turbo on a little 2.0 non built up 4cyl, if i was you i would start with a big 16g, 20g, or a T3/T04. Im not for sure on this one but i think someone said the compression is like 8.1:1 or some where around that, dont hold that against me im not for sure just go on google and look.

Re: How much boost on stock motor?
1G compression is 7.8:1 (~160 psi)
2G compression is 8.5:1 (~175 psi) Its not about how much boost you can run, its about how much airflow you can run. But the rule of thumb is ~15-16 psi on stock fuel system with normal mods (exhaust, filter, UICP, etc). I've posted about this extensively in the past.

Re: How much boost on stock motor?
The stock internals can SAFELY handle 300-400MAX horsepower and if you upgrade to the third generation lifters and upgrade the cams and gears, you can SAFELY run 10-16MAX boost on stock rods/pistons, anything more than that I would get Eagle"H" rods and forged pistons.

Re: How much boost on stock motor?
I've run 30 psi on stock motors, as have a hundred other DSMers. Both 6 bolt and 7 bolt internals are making over 500 WHEEL HP reliably. Lifters cams and gears hae nothing to do with how much boost or power you can run, but cams will allow more power with less boost (airflow/pressure goes up).
So again I say, it has nothing to do with boost pressure, and more to do with airflow. And its all about matching that airflow with fuel. I can elaborate more on this if people want, and there is some info on my site on the "AFR and blown motors" page. At the bottom there is a spreadsheet that will tell you how much airflow a given set of injectors can support, and how much airflow several different pumps can support, and you can input boost pressure, fuel specific gravity, and AFR.
