Transmission Oil Cooler Lines

My buddy has a 1990 Eldorado and he's been having severe leakage somewhere in the drivetrain. He has to add a quart of fluid every few days. I took a close look at the car today and discovered that his tranny oil cooler lines are in pretty bad shape. We were going to replace them and also replace the transaxle fluid pan gasket. I'm looking for other opinions for what the problem may be. Thanks.

Just to let anyone who needed to know, we cut out the bad sections of the lines and slid on rubber hose with hoseclamps and it worked great.
