Odometer Fraud
Can Someone Give Me A Primer On How To Find Out If A Car's Odometer Has Been Tampered With? Is It An Easy Task? Also, What Are The Laws Regarding Odometer Fraud.

Re: Odometer Fraud
Look at the general condition of the car. Is it in an acceptable range for the stated mileage? Maitenance records are good also. Look at how worn the pedals (and sometimes carpets too) are. Are they overworn for the mileage? Are they suspiciously new? What about the odometer itself? Are the numbers slightly misaligned like they might be if they had been tampered with, or are they perfectly straight like they usually should be?
