obd1 motor into a obd2 96-98 civic

who have a 96-00 honda civic obd2 with a obd1 motor swap?? if anyone does mind helping me out with the harness problem??? i want to ask what kind of engine harness do you use obd1 or obd2? filling me in some stuff here thanx

stock harness will work. You just need to buy a obd2 to obd1 conversion harness. You'll also need to use the obd1 ecu. Does your state do any kind of emissions checks? The reason I ask is because if they do then it's illegal to change to an engine older than your car. But if not them don't worry about it.

well my state does have emissions test but my block is a obd2 and the head is obd1. i question is that the distributor is different than my harness. notice that obd1 distributor are two plugs and obd2 have only 1 plugs. any have done a swap similar like mine let me know thanx
