you seem eager for a response.

give us more info and we can give our opinions.
you're riding experience?

what type of bike is you're friends 250?

what do you expect to do once you learn on a 250?
we need to be specific so as not to close another thread from an ill-informed newbie. i'm not being rude as we welcome all newbies but we have all seen too many newbies wanting to what to start on without reading previous threads on the exact same topic.

do not take this the wrong way. i am trying to help you and others are waiting for more info before they advise too
