98 concord random Int lights?

98 Concord interior lights randomly come on while driving and go off when they want ????
Any idea's

Here's what I've read...

Early models had a problem with the wire under the headliner which fed all overhead lighting with it shorting out! I haven't a clue about how to fix it without taking down the headlier. This was a reliability comment from one of the best know consumer magazines on the testing of the concorde. Fixed on later models. Sorry that I don't know what the fix is except to take the headliner down and fix short.

That makes sense as it started happening after someone sat in a kaiyak on the roof of the car...
will remove the headliner and check it out !!!
