Radiator fan not working 99 Taurus

Hello everyone,

I have an 99 Taurus and the fan do not seem to work. the cars temperature seems normal, but I never see the electrical fans kick in.
Is there a test to see if they are working??

it might be so cold that they're never needing to go on, a good test is to let the engine warm up and then turn on the air conditioner, the fans should turn on then.

thanks for the reply! Well it is getting Hot because we are in S. Florida but they never come on even with the A C on. I have been reading about it, but the manual I got metions that they are tied in to the Airbags so I am afraid to start proding around. is there a test I can do to test the fan to make sure that they are OK before I start looking at sensors??

1.) Check to see if there is power going to the temp switch. Bypass the switch and see if the fan comes on.
2.) Check the fan motor. Disconnect the fan and run jumper wires to the battery. While the fan is disconnected, spin it by hand to check the bearings.
