Re: change oil soon light

OK blurr,
We told you not to use your Mothers cooking oil in your car anymore.
When you changed the oil did you reset "oil life". Part of the on board display. Go to oil life display, hold reset button for about five sec. should go back to 100%. See if light goes out.

I have had the same problem but mine started to do that as soon as I changed the oil. Where do I find the reset button for the oil.

Re: change oil soon light

IF the light flashes on for about a min then goes off this could also be the onset of a oil pump problem....if it was just time to change the oil it would stay on till you turned it off....

To reset the "Change Oil Soon", you turn the key to the On position but do not start the engine. Press the accelerator 3 times in 5 seconds and the change oil light should start to blink. This shows that oil life monitor is resetting. Turn the car back to off. Next time you start your car, the "Change Oil Soon" light should only be on for a couple seconds. Remember to do this procedure every time you change your oil. This procedure is also in the owner’s manual.
