major oil leak 93 p71

my oil pan has rusted through, after former owner left it parked in snow covered in road salt. i had coated it with jb weld epoxy, which held for a while but now its leaking again and i want to replace it. what needs to be done to lift the engine enough to get the old pan off/new pan on? any suggestions?

The service manual claims this can be done without removing the engine, and it *can*, BUT you have to remove the wiper tray and motor, losen the rear trans mounts, remove the hoses and AT cooler lines to raise the engine up far enough. PLUS you have to remove the oil pump pick-up tube after you drop the pan so you can slide it out. It's faster to pull the engine.

How about cutting and welding frame cross member?
I have all the tools, I just dont have much time or money, I go to school full time(machine tool tech) and work full time(welding).
