V8 upgrade

I already know that to upgrade my 86 jimmy from a 2.8 to a v88 I need a ned transmission. What I want to know is if there are some mods that need to be made to the engine mounts and what else I need to look out for.

Re: V8 upgrade

Yea, you'll definately need to modify the mounts. What type of V8 are you dropping in it? most people with that body style blazer drop a 350 small block in it cause they fit real nicely in the engine compartment. what type of transmission are you going to get? Id go for a 350 Turbo trans. It'll be a lot of work, you will also have to do a lot of wiring.

Re: V8 upgrade

I would check out ebay for the V8 conversion manual for the S10.

Best money you will invest for doing this job.

It tells you EVERYTHING to do for the swap.
