front bumper

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if I could fit 00 civic front bumper on my 97 civic.
Is that possible?

yes it could, will it be easy no . 2000 civics had different larger headlights which would also require being changed if you wanted to do the swap and i believe that is it; maybe something to do with the mountings but im not sure

I was going to replace my headlights anyway,
do I need to replace the mountings or not?

best way to go about it is to do an entire front end conversion. You'll need the hood, bumper, headlights, fenders and I think the bumper support. And for what I know, it's all bolt on.

I thought that the hood and the fenders wore the same, but if in need to replace all that then its not worth it, To expensive.

no, the fenders and hood aren't the same. The headlights are shaped differently.

its is very easy to see the difference between the 2 head on try looking at the front of a 96-98 civic and the front of a 99-00 civic

You will definately need to do a whole front end conversion to make it fit right. You can mount the bumper on without changing the fenders and hood, but it will not line up clean. A friend of mine learned that the hard way and it is pretty whack looking...
