Testing Rear Wiper..
I plan on going to a salvage yard later today to get a rear wiper motor...The vehicle I am removing it from has most of the front wiring removed or destroyed...I want to remove the wiper motor and with a battery that I will take with me, test the motor...does anyone know the correct wires for me to tap onto to check this out..I believe (from memory which is getting bad) there is a blue, orange, white or gray, and black...
BLUE---I think is for the washer circiut BLACK--Ground The GRAY or WHITE come the the safety switch to make sure the glass is closed.. ORANGE...I'm not sure of.. Thanks in advance... |

Re: Testing Rear Wiper..
How much are you really saving getting a used motor? Remaned ones are about 40.00

Re: Testing Rear Wiper..
I'm basicly getting a package deal...front bearing (4 wheel drive) some int components, back glass, and centers for my factory mags..for 80$$ wiper thrown in but he said if it doesn't work I can take one off another vehicle..

Re: Testing Rear Wiper..
Oh okay. I would just take it and plug it in to your truck and test it.

No one knows off hand unless they're super good! What you do is place one on the positive, and touch each on the ground. Usually grounds are black or brown though!
Also, yeah, a rear wiper from the Junkyard is a fine idea, because rear wipers aren't used as much as front! I barely use mine! |
