Replaced heater core-Now NO HEAT control

Howdie, I have 1 99 Blazer LT, I replaced the heater core, now I have no control over the hot air. I have since installed an in-line cut off valve in one of my heater hoses to stop water flow so my A/C will cool. Without this valve, my A/C will not cool. I figure I have some kind of suction hose backwards or somethin like that. Where can one find a diagram for the suction hoses that go to the heater core housing? Thanks Bullfrog

on the 99 s10 blazers the temperature door is controlled by an electric actuator on top of the heater case on the passenger side, check to see if you left it unplugged when you changed the heater core. you should be able to swing the glove box down and see it up on top of the heater case. Hope this helps.

Howdie, So if this is what I forgot to plug in, or I knocked it loose when I was puttin all the stuff back together, by pluggin it back in, this would solve all my heat problems? I wouldnt need the shut off valve I put in the heater hose? This one lil thang has caused me all these headaches? HE HE, I shore hope yer right. I will be able to check it out this weekend. I will let ya'll know the outcome. Thanks fer all ya'lls HELP! Bullfrog

Re: Replaced heater core-Now NO HEAT control

Your blending door is not working, try to look into it and see what is causing it to stick.

Also, don't put any sort of valve in the heater hose, the blending door is the problem, not the heater core.
